LELAND E. "Bud" ANDERSON
Leland E. "Bud" Anderson, 67, of Melcher-Dallas died of congestive heart failure Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003, at West Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Knoxville. Services were held at St. John Lutheran Church in Melcher-Dallas, with burial at Chariton Cemetery in Chariton.
Mr. Anderson was born in Chariton, Iowa, Jan. 11, 1936, and had lived in the Columbia area before moving to the Melcher-Dallas area 34 years ago. He was a retired farmer and enjoyed hunting, tractor pulls and playing dominos.
He is survived by his wife, Anna; a son, Michael of Cambria; four daughters, Tina Starckovich and Tami Harold, both of Melcher-Dallas, Beverly Anderson and Lisa Anderson, both of Des Moines; three sisters, Juanita Bridges of Des Moines, and Lois Davis and Donna Jean Ripperger, both of Chariton; and eight grandchildren.
