Lois Mae (Anderson) Davis was born Dec. 13, 1928, in Chariton, Iowa, to Charles and Mary (Wright) Anderson. She attended high school in Chariton. She worked at the White Swan and Gales Grossburg Factory. She later worked for Regal Stamp/Hy-Vee where she later retired.

Lois was married to the love of her life, LaVern Davis, Oct. 23, 1949, and they spent 72 wonderful years together. When he was in the service, she would always write him letters to get through the time while he was away. To this union, Lois and LaVern were blessed with two children: Steve and Debbie.

Lois was a very generous woman to all and enjoyed telling stories. She enjoyed staying active. Some of her favorite times were spent square dancing, playing cards at club with a close group of friends, and bowling in a league, where they took the championship in Sioux Falls for the state. Her church was very important to her, and she was a very active member. One of her very favorite activities was attending her grandkids' sports. Her grandchildren meant the world to her.

Lois will be dearly missed by her husband, LaVern; her children, Steve (Debbie) Davis, Debbie (John) Sullivan, and Sherry McClaskie; her six grandchildren, Shelly (Todd) Chapman, Amy (Cory) Swigart, Marcus Davis, Lance (Jaci) Sullivan, Ashley (Chris) Latta, and Leslie (Nate) Roush; her many great-grandchildren, Abby (Zach) Lockman, Drew (Dakota) Derrenger, Danica Derrenger, Jake Chapman, Cara Swigart, Lily Swigart, Mallory Sullivan, Hayden Sullivan, Savannah Latta, Elise Latta, Cole Roush, Stella Roush, and Genevieve Roush; and her four great-great-grandchildren, Sayge, Kameron, Blaise, and Arabella; her sister-in-law, Anna Anderson; and many her nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Preceding Lois in death were her parents, Charles and Mary Anderson; her siblings, Juanita Bridges, Delores Remster, Charles Anderson, Leland Anderson, and Donna Ripperger; and daughter-in-law, Debra Sue Davis.
