CHARLES ANDERSON
Charles Anderson, son of Emma and Walker Anderson, was born in Grant City, Mo., April 26, 1901 and passed away in the General hospital in Des Moines Sept. 28, 1951 at the age of 50 years, five months and two days.
He was united in marriage to Mary Lois Wright April 21, 1923.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mary, four daughters, Deloris Remster, Lois Davis, Donna Anderson, all of Chariton and Juanita Bridges, of Columbia; two sons, Charles Jr., and Leland, of Chariton and seven grandchildren.
He also leaves three sisters, Mary Swanson, of Chariton, Nellie Behm, of Denver, Colorado and Josephine Jones, of Laramie, Wyoming. Two brothers, Lon, of Chariton and Henry, of Des Moines. Three sisters, two brothers, his father and mother preceded him in death.
For the past 20 years he has been engaged in well boring in this county.
Services, under the direction of Downs Funeral home were held at the Church of the Nazarene Monday at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. H. E. Hegstrum officiated and burial was in the Chariton cemetery.
