THE DAILY NEWS (HUNTINGDON, PENNSYLVANIA), FRIDAY 28 JAN 1977, P. 2:

Delton J. Reed of Dudley died at 7:10 a.m. Thursday, January 27, 1977, in the Altoona Hospital. Death followed a brief illness.
Mr. Reed was born April 1, 1914 at Dudley, a son of Jonah J. and Anna R. (Black) Reed. He was united in marriage with Theda B. Hess on April 1, 1943 at Cumberland, Md.
Surviving are his widow and a niece, Mrs. Jay (Patricia) Wise of Dudley, who was reared in the Reed home.
Also surviving are these brothers and sisters: Willis J. Reed of Saxton; Warren D. Reed of Dudley; Mrs. Lois Lucas of Johnstown; Mrs. Eleanor Greenawalt of Saxton; Miss Helena Reed of Johnstown; George Reed of Westmont, Johnstown; Robert Reed of Lewistown and Charles Reed of Dallas, Texas.
The deceased was a member of the United Methodist Church of Dudley and had served as a trustee for several years. He was a coal miner for approximately 27 years and worked in construction till his retirement in 1972. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 29, from the United Methodist Church of Dudley with the Rev. Charles Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will be made in the Protestant Cemetery, Dudley.
Friends will be received at the Masood funeral chapel, Saxton, from 7 to 9 o'clock this Friday evening and after 10 a.m. till the time for the service Saturday at the church.
