LEWISTOWN - Robert William Reed, 84, of Lewistown, went home to be with his Savior on Saturday, May 31, 2014.He was born on May 18, 1930, in Dudley. He is survived by his faithful, loving wife of 63 years, Doris Maxine Reed.He also is survived by: his sons, Greg and Mark; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles "Jake" Reed, of Denton, Texas.He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen.Robert and his wife, Maxine, owned and operated the Dairy Queen store on West Fourth Street in Lewistown from 1960 to 1984.He was a member of the Fairview Bible Church in Lewistown. He loved Christ and his family very much and will be greatly missed.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with Pastor David Fultz officiating.A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home.Interment will be at the Locust Grove Cemetery in Belleville.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Fairview Bible Church, 5290 state Route 103, Lewistown, PA 17044.
