Mrs. Anna R. Reed of Dudley died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 1972, at 8 a.m., at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. She had been ill for several months. She was 77.
The deceased was born at Cherry Grove on October 17, 1894, a daughter of Asbury and Rebecca (Cutshall) Black. She was united in marriage to Jonah J. Reed at Cumberland, Md., on Sept. 27, 1911.
She is survived by the following children: Willis J. Reed, Saxton, R.D.; Delton J. Reed and Warrren D. Reed, both of Dudley; Mrs. Lois Lucas, Helena Reed and George Reed, all of Johnstown; Eleanor Greenawalt, Saxton; Robert Reed, Lewistown and Charles A. Reed, Denton, Tex.
Fourteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and these brothers and sisters also survive; Emma Houck, Dudley, Elva Cutshall and Faye Hannessey, both of Broad Top City and Margaret Leighty, Paoli.
She was a member of the Dudley United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Dudley United Methodist Church, The Rev. James Bonsell, III, will officiate and interment will be made in the Dudley Protestant Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Masood funeral chapel in Saxton after 7 p.m., Friday and until 9 a.m. Saturday and after 10 a.m., Saturday, at the church, until the hour for the services.
