Olive was born November 6, 1879 in Clinton Township, daughter of William Appleman and Sarah Viola (Parr) Meloy. She died October 21, 1962 at the Dane County Hospital, Dane County, Wisconsin, aged 82 years, 11 months and 15 days, and was buried there in Forest Glen Cemetery, Madison, Wisconsin.

On April 20, 1806 Olive became the second wife of Charles Wesley Adams in Clinton Township, Vernon County, Wisconsin. Charles was born July 26, 1880 in Clinton Township, Vernon County, Wisconsin, son of Mighill Dustin Adams and Ellen Nora Smith. He died January 8, 1946 in Waukesha, Waukesha County, Wisconsin, aged 65 years, 5 months and 12 days and was buried in the Viroqua Cemetery, Viroqua, Vernon County, Wisconsin. Charles and Olive were the parents of two children, Cleo Adams and Hollis John Adams (memorial #117578693), born 3 May 1908, died 15 Mar 1992.

Charles and his family lived on the Adams homestead in Vernon County until 1945 when he moved to Sparta, Monroe County, Wisconsin. In the fall of 1945 he moved to Waukasha, Wisconsin to reside with his son Cleo.

The other son of Olive and Charles was Hollis John Adams (memorial #117578693), born 3 May 1908, died 15 Mar 1992.
