MILLVILLE MOTHER DIES Mrs. Bert Olson passed away at her home near Millville last Tuesday evening, January 11. She was recovering seemingly well from a touch of pneumonia suffered several weeks ago when death came suddenly during the night. Vida Nelson, daughter of John and Hannah Nelson was born May 2, 1889 at Plainview where she was reared and attended the Public School. Her marriage to Bert Olson took place at Rochester in December 1919. They made their home continuously on a farm near Millville. Surviving Mrs. Olson are her husband, six sons, Albert and Robert (twins), Howard and Wayne, all at home, Everett of Minneapolis and Franklin of Plainview, twin daughters, Marian and Marilyn, one grandchild David Olson of Plainview. Also surviving are her sisters, Mrs. Margaret Osborne, Plainview; Mrs. Wm. Elliot of St. Paul, Mrs. Dorothy Hermanson of Minneapolis, Mrs. Arthur Schmeidberg of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Irene Heddlesten of Winona, a brother, Will Nelson of Plainview, one son, Donald and daughter, Maxine, two sisters and three brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services for Mrs. Olson were held at the Oakwood Methodist Church near Millville on Friday afternoon, January 14 Mrs. Olson was a member of the Church and a member and active worker in the Women's Society of Christian Service. Rev. Korfhage of Winona officiated at the services. Interment was in the Church Cemetery. Casket bearers were Elmer Thompson, Elmer Blattner, Frank Springer, John Springer, Wm. Polson and J. A. Nass. Out of town people attending the funeral were Mrs. Wm. Elliot, Mrs. John Hanson, both of St. Paul, Minn.; Mr. Everette Olson, Mrs. Oliver Goss, Mrs. Charles Zimmerman, Mr. Homer Leiniger, Mrs. Dorothy Hermannon all of Minneapolis; Mrs. Alvin Butterfass, Mrs. Ella Owens, Mrs. Garnet Spring of Rochester; Mr. and Mrs. O. S. Olson of Eyota; Mr. and Mrs. Dorand Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Johnson of Zumbro Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith of St. Charles; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Polson, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Roerson of Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Gilmore Olson; Mrs. Harold Olson of Weaver; Mrs. Irene Heddleson, son, James and daughter, Sharon of Winona; and Mrs. Frank Nash, Red Wing.
