Passes Away
MONTICELLO, Ind. — Services
for Levi Walters, 63, of northwest
of Monon, who died Wednesday at
the St. Elizabeth hospital, Lafayette,
after an illness of four years,
will be held at 2:30 p.m. (DST)
Saturday at the Stewart mortuary,
afternoon. The Rev. Dale Hamilton,
Rochester will officiate and
furial will be made in the Osborn
cemetery, Jasper county.
Born Jan. 2, 1892, in Jasper
County, to Thomas and Angeline
Brewer Walters, he was married
Oct. 31, 1911, to Maggie E. Branenberg,
who survives.
He had resided on his farm
northwest of Monon for 30 years.
Surviving with the widow are
twelve children: Harry Walters and
Alice Bulington of Monon; Ralph
and Marguerite, at home; John of
Rochester; Laura Griffin, Reyn-
olds; Ruth Pollock and Nellie
Shive, both of Rensselaer; Lee of
Williamsport; Delos of Otterbein;
Bernice Goss of Tipton; and Ola
Guimand, Kankakee, Ill.; 35 grand
children; seven step-grandchil-
dren; two brothers, Harry of Franesville
and George of Reynolds;
two sisters, Millie Pass of Rensseaer
and Ella Long of Hammond;
and a number of nieces and
nephews. Five sisters, nine broth-
rs and six grandchildren are de-
eased.
Friends may call after 2 p.m
today at the Stewart funeral home.
