John L. Walters
John L. WALTERS, 51, 116 Indiana avenue, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at his residence at 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
A macinist at Sealed Power corporation, he had resided in Rochester and vicinity 48 years.
Born Jan. 15, 1918, in McCoysburg, he was the son of Levi and Margueriet BRANDENBURG WALTERS. His marriage was Nov. 28, 1938, in Jasper county to Geneva HEISHMAN, who survives. He was a veteran of World War II.
Also surviving are two sons, Lonny D. WALTERS, Indianapolis, and Leslie R. [WALTERS], Rochester; three brothers, Ralph [WALTERS], Monon; Lee [WALTERS], Attica, and Deloss [WALTERS], Lafayette; six sisters, Mrs. Alice BOULINGTON, Monon; twin-sister, Mrs. Laura GRIFFIN, Reynolds; Mrs. Bernice GOSS, Atlanta; Mrs. Ola GUIMOND, Kankakee, Ill.' Mrs. Nellie SHIDE, Rensselaer, and Mrs. Marguerite BUREAUD, of Fort Wayne; one grandson. One son, Leroy [WALTERS] preceded in death.
Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home. Dr. Herbert BESS will officiate. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
