Mrs. Guimond worked for First Trust and Savings Bank in Kankakee for 25 years, retiring in December 1986. She was born in Monon, Ind., the daughter of Levi and Maggie Brandenburg Walters. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Kankakee and Women of the Moose. She loved to read. Surviving are her husband, George "Jake" Guimond, whom she married Nov. 25, 1950, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Tom and Diane Guimond of Niles, Bruce and Nancy Guimond of Limestone, Jeff Guimond of Kankakee; one daughter and two sons-in-law, Kathy and Bill Funkhouser of Morton, George Pfeffinger of Kankakee; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandsons; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Laura Griffin of Reynolds, Ind., Nellie and Fred Shide of Rensselaer, Ind., Marguerite Budreau of Monticello, Ind.; and one brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Grace Walters of Williamsport, Ind. Deceased are one daughter, Christine Pfeffinger; five brothers and four sisters.
