Edna D. Isbell

Mrs. Edna Delois Isbell, 83, Route 4, Tuscumbia, died Friday afternoon at Helen Keller Memorial Hospital, Sheffield, after an extended illness.

She was a native of Lawrence County and lived in Colbert County most of her life. She was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Valley Grove Baptist Church, with the Revs. Larry Wright and Bill Cotton officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, Spry Funeral Home, Sheffield, directing.

The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service. The family will receive friends 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include her daughters, Mrs. Josephine Oliver, Mrs. Donnie Lee Byrd, Mrs. Mary Jane Lackey, all of Route 4, Tuscumbia, Mrs. Tina Mae Tuerberg, Leighton; sons, Homer G. Isbell, Marsell Isbell, both of Tuscumbia, Vernon Ray Isbell, Lionel Douglas Isbell, both of Leighton, Tom Isbell, Sheffield; sister, Mrs. Irene Crosswhite, Tuscumbia; brothers, Percy Weems, Leighton, Ted Weems, Town Creek, Ulyless Weems, Courtland; 32 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Grandsons will serve as bearers.
