Mrs. Josephine Weems

Mrs. Josephine Brackin Weems, 84, Town Creek, died today at 7:15 a.m. at a Decatur hospital where she had been a patient for 10 days.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Donald Church near Town Creek with the Rev. Emmett Grissom officiating. Interment will be in adjoining cemetery with Brown of Decatur directing.

The body will be taken to the home of a son, Jack Weems, Town Creek, at 3 p.m. today.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Edna Isbell and Mrs. Ruth Isbell, Tuscumbia; Mrs. Irene Crosswhite Sheffield; and Mrs. Isabel Roden, Decatur; six sons, Percy, of Leighton; Jack and Ted, of Town Creek; Herman of Muscle Shoals City; and Ulyses and Vernon of Courtland; 43 grandchildren, 73 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Berry, Town Creek; Mrs. Pearl Vick, Coalgate, Okla.; and one brother, Henry of Town Creek.

She was the daughter of W. H. Brackin and Elmira Dement Brackin.
