Ulyses H. Weems
COURTLAND -- The funeral for Ulyses Howard Weems, 72, Hamilton Street, 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, 1987, at Brown Service Chapel, Decatur, with the Rev. Bill Reding, officiating. Burial will be in Donald Cemetery, Lawrence County.
He died Aug. 23, 1987, at Humana Hospital, Huntsville.
He was a veteran of U.S. Army, serving in World War II, retired from Ford Motor Co. and a member of Courtland Baptist Church.
Survivors include: wife, Dean Weems, Courtland; son, Rev. Billy H. Weems, Vernon; brother, Ted Weems, Town Creek; sister, Irene Crosswhite, Leighton; three grand-children.
Bearers will be; L.M. Muston, Joe Weems, Darrell Goodwin, Ronnie Beavers, Donald Weems and Don Simmons.
