Delia Alice Thornsberry Stanberry, 71, died Dec. 31, 1993, at Meadowview Lodge in Huntsville. She was born Jan. 7, 1922, in Madison County, near the Combs community, the daughter of Nora Jane Shipp and William Henry "Bill" Thornsberry. She was the widow of Lenard R. Stanberry, late of Fayetteville.

Preceded in death by an infant brother, Ervin, and a sister, Ida Mae Reynolds, she is survived by a daughter, W. Jean Stanberry Boyer of Fayetteville; two brothers, E. Clarence Thornsberry and John H. Thornsberry, also of Fayetteville; four sisters, C. Myrtle Hensley of Fayetteville, Celia A. Brashears of St. Paul, G. Pauline Eans and Wilma I. Carney, both of Fayetteville; five grandchildren, D. Mark Boyer of Fayetteville, Rikki D. Hayes of Sardis, J. Michael Boyer of Little Rock, Melinda M. Price of Houston, Tex., and Melissa J. Boyer of Fayetteville; and six great-grandchildren.

Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Nelson's Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
