Sept 16, 1991 - "Lenard R. Stanberry, 81, of Fayetteville died Sunday, Sept. 15, 1991, in n Little Rock hospital. Born May 29, 29, 1910, the son of John R. and Edith Eacret Stanberry, he was a member of the Baldwin Christian Church and had served as the Washington County constable during the early '40s and '50s.
He retired as court bailiff under Judge Paul Jameson. He was also a musician, playing with the Frankie Kelly and Arkansas Playboys and other local bands.
Survivors are his wife, Alice Thornsberry Stanberry of the home; a step-daughter, Jean Boyer of Little Rock; a niece, Freda Hall of Fayetteville; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, in the chapel of Nelson's Funeral Home with burial in the Hester Cemetery."
