Funeral services for Louis [sic Lewis] A. Dring, 51, sales clerk at Piggly Wiggly Supermarket in Ruston, were scheduled today at 10:30 a.m. following his death Saturday at 12:45 a.m. at V.A. Hospital in Houston.

Mr. Dring died following a brief illness. Services were at Saint Rest Baptist Church near Simsboro, with Rev. Roy Smith, Rev. D.C. Martin, and Mrs. Roy Flurry officiating. Burial was in Saint Rest Cemetery, under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home.

He was a native of Lincoln Parish, a member of the Saint Rest Baptist Church, and a veteran of World War II.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lucille Dring of Simsboro; his mother, Mrs. C.J. Dring of Simsboro; two daughters, Miss Emily Dring and Miss Mary Ellen Dring, both of Simsboro; four brothers, A.B. Dring and M.L. Dring of Simsboro, F.H. Dring of Vivian and C.J. Dring Jr. of Shreveport; sisters, Mrs. Roger Lee, Mrs. Bruce Price, and Mrs. Mary Metkuin, all of Simsboro, Mrs. Y.T. Price of Ruston, Mrs. James Franklin of Dubach and Mrs. Vernon Gosdin of Springhill.
