MARY DRING METHVIN.

SIMSBORO, LA - Services for Mary Dring Methvin, age 87, of Simsboro, LA, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 1997 at Kilpatrick Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. James Moore assisted by Rev. Kirby Vining. Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.

Mrs. Methvin died Friday, May 1, 1997 in Bossier City, LA following a lengthy illness. She was a lifelong resident of Simsboro and retired as Postmistress of Simsboro in 1976. She was a longtime member of Memorial Methodist Church of Simsboro. Mrs. Methvin most recently resided in Springhill and Bossier City. She is preceded in death by her husband, Milton Methvin, her parents, Charlie and Kate Dring and eleven brothers and sisters.

She is survived by one sister, Nelda Dring Gosdin of Bossier City, La; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Methvin's nephews.

Memorials may be made to Memorial Methodist Church of Simsboro.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Fountainview Nursing Home in Springhill and Riverview Center in Bossier for their devotion and care.
