Funeral services for Lucille Fallin Dring, 89, of Simsboro, LA will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 4, 2010 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA. Dr. Rick Byargeon will officiate the service assisted by Dr. Jimmy Simeon and Rev. Dale Oden. Interment will follow in St. Rest Baptist Church cemetery in Dubach, LA.
Mrs. Dring was born in Winn Parish on February 28, 1920 and died in Homer, LA on December 31, 2009. She was a member of St. Rest Baptist Church and was retired with the Lincoln Parish School System. Mrs. Dring is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Allen Dring.
She is survived by her daughters; Emily Moore and husband Randy of Simsboro; Mary Ellen Gamble and husband George of Minden; grandchildren; Richard Moore and wife Leigh, Sara Moore, Lauren Gamble, Benjamin Gamble; three great granddaughters; sisters; Eva Dell Henry, Loyce Morgan and husband Sam, Lettie Canterbury and husband Ray; brother; James Fallin and wife Lillian; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Canterbury, John Corley, Glenn Fallin, Don McMahon, Jim Monzingo, and Paul Woodard. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Fallin and John B. Harris.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Rest Baptist Church in Dubach, LA or Claiborne Health Care Foundation, P. O. Box 578, Homer, La 71040. The family would especially like to thank the staff at Willow Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center; Homer Memorial Hospital; and Dr. Cliff Salmon for their care and thoughtfulness during her time of need.
