Funeral Services for Eva Dell Henry, age 95 1/2 years, of Dubach will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Salem United Methodist Church 11793 Hwy 151, Dubach, LA with Bro. Jimmy Pyles, Bro. Stewart Sherman and Bro. Danny Baskin officiating. Burial will follow in Salem United Methodist Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.
Eva Dell was born August 28, 1914 and went to be with her Lord on February 18, 2010. Eva Dell was the last charter member of United Methodist Women and the oldest member of Salem United Methodist Church.
Eva Dell is survived by her daughter Estelle Harrell and husband Billy Joe of Dubach; son Billy Henry and wife Martha of Minden, daughter Ann Magee and husband Terry of Keatchie, LA; sisters Loyce Morgan, Lettie Canterbury and brother James Fallin; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 15 great -great- grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Horace Henry, great grandson: Christian Deas; sister: Lucille Dring, and brothers Wayne, Jack, Joe and Howard Fallin. Pallbearers are Donnie Harrell, Michael Mynes, Brad Mynes, Philip Wood, Wayne Henry and Dustin Harrell. Honorary pallbearers are Cecil Hood, Cecil Harrell, Wilbur Hammons, Neil Moon and Glen Neaville.
Eva Dell was known by her family as Momma, Grandma, Old Grandma, and Gran-Gran. She was happiest with her family surrounding her and will be greatly missed by them all.
Special thanks to Martha White (caregiver) and Hospice of Caring Hearts.
Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.
Memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church.
