Louis Frederick Allen, 68, died Tuesday at the residence of a daughter, Mrs. John M. Hatten, Baton Rouge. Born in Long Beach, he had resided on the coast all of his life. His local residence is Rt. 1 Daugherty Rd. Mr. Allen was a retired carpenter. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Lewis Fredrick Allen, 69, a resident of Rt. 1, Box 107-A, Daugherty Road, Long Beach, died Tuesday in Baton Rouge, La., where he had been for two months.
Mr. Allen, a retired carpenter, born June 28, 1901, in Long Beach, was a life-long resident of Long Beach and had resided at his present address for 26 years. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church of Long Beach. Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillian Lassabe Allen, Long Beach, seven daughters, Mrs. Doris Duyer, Mrs. Susie Neathry, Mrs. Myra Hatton, Baton Rouge; Mrs. Mary Cockrell, Mrs. Kate Noble and Mrs. Emily Smith, Long Beach; and Mrs. Agnes Durel, Lake Villa, Ill.; three sons, William Allen, Nathan Allen and Forrest Allen, Long Beach; four sisters, Mrs. Addie Woodcock, Mrs. Ida Lacy, Mrs. Leona Leggett, Mrs. Edith Reed, two brothers, the Rev. Phillip Allen and Robert Allen, all of Long Beach; 39 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Riemann Funeral Home Chapel in Long Beach after 6 o'clock this evening.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Barney Smith and the Rev. John Hatton, Baptist minsters, officiating. Interment will be in the Allen Cemetery in Long Beach.
