Warren S. Allen, 69, a resident of Box 501, Landon Road Gulfport, died Friday morning at Gulfport Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient. Mr. Allen, a retired plumber, was born Oct. 30, 1900, in Long Beach. He lived on the Coast his entire life. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church at Long Beach, and a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 568. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Catherine Skinner Allen, and one son, Russell W. Allen, both of Gulfport; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Ratcliff, Jackson, and Mrs. Marie Scott, Gulfport; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Fred Allen, Robert Allen and Rev. Phillip Allen; and four sisters, Mrs. Addie Woodcock, Mrs. Ida Lacy, Mrs. Leona Leggett and Mrs. Edith Reed, all of Long Beach. Friends may call at the Riemann Funeral Home Gulfport chapel after 11 a.m. Saturday. Funeral Services will be held at the chapel at 3 p.m. Sunday with interment in Allen Cemetery in Long Beach.
