Celestin A. "Celly" Brown, 91, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999 at his home in Victoria. He was born Dec. 29, 1907 on a farm south of Victoria, the son of Nicholas J. and Mary Ann Dreiling Brown.

A resident of Graham County for 40 years, moving to Victoria in 1989, he was a farmer. He belong to St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria. On Oct. 25, 1927 he married Ottilla Goetz at Victoria. She died Oct. 6, 1941.

On April 10, 1953 he married Helen M. Rohleder Dreiling at St. Louis. She survives.

Other survivors include: a son, LeRoy of Victoria; six daughters, Verda Rohr of Ellsworth, Frances Knoll of Lakewood, Colo., Carol Keith of Morland, Vera Kuhn of Hays, Janie Tholen of Victoria, Kathy Striggow of Hill City; four sisters, Catherine Riedel of Burbank, Calif., Clara Hollandworth of WaKeeney, Anna Jacobs of Gorham, LaVerna Schulte of Hill City; 29 grandchildren; 61 great- grandchildren; 30 great-great-grandchildren; 16 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. today at Cline's Mortuary, Victoria. Funeral will be at a.m. Saturday at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria, with Father Frank X. Grinko presiding. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorial has been established with Golden Belt Home Health, Russell.
