Frieda O'Brien Dies In Hospital

FIFTY LAKES—Mrs. Frieda O'Brien, 76, of Fifty Lakes, died Wednesday at the Cuyuna Range District Hospital.

Born July 12, 1905, in Wausau, Wis., she had been an area resident for the past 20 years.

Mrs. O'Brien was a member of St. Emily's Catholic Church and was the church Altar Society. She was a former member of the Holy Spirit Church in St. Paul.

Survivors include her husband, Harold; one son, Laverne Lee of St. Paul Park; one daughter, Mrs. Darlene Moore of St. Paul; one brother, William Ristow of Merrill, Wis., two sisters, Mrs. Verna Teich (error here, should be Tesch) and Mrs. Lydia Soupkup (error here, should be Soukup), both of Wausau, and seven grandchildren.

Services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Emily's Church with Father Roman Spors officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge cemetery, Emily.

Friends may call at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby at after 4 p.m. Friday and at the church Saturday one hour before services. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
