Death yesterday claimed another Greene County veteran of the Spanish-American War, when M. B. Hunnell, aged 65, a well known farmer who had resided near Spraggs for the past ten years, died at his home there following a serious illness of about one week, due to a heart ailment.

Mr. Hunnell was a native of Jackson Township and had resided there until about ten years ago. He was a son of the late Jacob and Mary Duvall Hunnell and was one of 10 children. He served in Co. K of the historic "Fighting Tenth" Pennsylvania Infantry in the Philippines during the Spanish-American War.

He was a member of the Willow Grove Christian Church in Jackson Township, which he joined early in life. Also of the Thomas C. Crago Camp, United Spanish War Veterans.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rocella Jane Thralls Hunnell, to whom he was married on Christms Day in 1900; a daughter, Mrs. Leslie (Florence L.) Curfman, of Holbrook; a son, Jacob B. Hunnell, of Spraggs; two brothers, Newton Hunnell, of Braddock, and Garner Hunnell, of Morgantown, and ten grandchildren. A son, Richard Ansley Hunnell, died in 1924.
