The funeral of Richard Cornell, aged eighty-one years, was held from the home of his daughter, Mrs. David Baer, northeast of this city yesterday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. H.L. Alley. Internment was made in the Riverview cemetery.
Mr. Cornell's death occured at the Baer home Saturday morning about five o'clock and followed an illness of ten days. He was born at Goshen, Ind., August 21, 1840, and was a son of Mr and Mrs. Richard Cornell. For many years he has been a resident of White county, having lived in the Idaville and Mt. Olive neighborhoods. He is survived by three sons, Arthur of Idaville, Herbert of Jackson Center, Pa., and Guy R. Cornell of Union Grove, Wis., and three daughters, Mrs. David Baer and Mrs. Charles Timmons of Monticello and Mrs. W.O. Thomas of Crown Point. Mrs. Cornell died twenty-six years ago.
