The funeral for Elsie R. Arquitte, 81, of Raymondville, was held at the Buck Funeral Home, Norfolk, with the Rev. Greg Dike officiating. Burial was made in Bixby Cemetery, Norfolk.
Mrs. Arquitte died Sunday at her home.
Surviving are three sons, Lloyd, Lyle and Wayne; four daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Betty) Oakes, Mrs. Thomas (Winny) Crump, Mrs. Howard (Caroline) Fisher and Mrs. Delbert (Helen) Fisher; 27 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Alex Deshane and Cecil Deshane; three sisters, Susie Smith, Mrs. Walter (Georginia) Moody, and Veve Kelly; and several nephews and nieces.
Born in Malone on April 4, 1913, a daughter of Carlas and Martha Jandreau Martin, she married Simeon H. Arquitte on May 12, 1930, in Norfolk. Mr. Arquitte died Jan. 12, 1990.
Mrs. Arquitte was a homemaker.
