Margaret M. Ward, 79, Winthrop, died Monday at her home.
A funeral Mass was held at St. Patrick's Church, Brasher Falls, with the Rev. Clark S. White officiating. Burial was in Bixby Cemetery, Norfolk.
Surviving are seven sons, Kenneth L. Jr., Donald, Arnold, Melvin, Marvin, Leonard and Richard; two daughters, Mrs. David (Eva) Sharlow and Mrs. Donald (Doris) Deshane; 32 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Cecil Deshane and Alex Deshane, and four sisters, Susan Smith, Georgina Moody, Elsie Arquette and Viva Kelly.
A daughter, Joyce Ward, died in 1968. Three brothers, Leonard Martin and Peter and Francis Deshane, and two sisters, Lillian Deshane and Caroline Martin, died before her.
Born April 3, 1915, in Norfolk, a daughter of Carlos and Martha Jandrew Martin, she attended Norfolk and Norwood rural schools. She married Kenneth L. Ward on Nov. 24, 1934, at the Methodist Episcopal Parish, Norfolk, with the Rev. David W. McVeigh officiating. Mr. Ward died July 14, 1966.
Mrs. Ward was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church.
