1997 Nora Mae Farmer, 88, of Bowman Street, Campbellsville, died Saturday, April 19, 1997 at Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville after an illness. She was the daughter of the late Middleton Tungate and Elnora Herron Tungate of Taylor County. Farmer was a member of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church, and a homemaker. She was married to Ova Farmer, who preceded her in death in 1970. Survivors include two sons, Dale Farmer and Doyle Farmer, both of Illinois; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Jessie Tungate of Campbellsville; four sisters, Ollen Gaddis, Mandy Harden, Rhea Whitley, and Elma Gibson, all of Campbellsville; and many other relatives. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Onie Tungate, Perry Tungate, and Albert Tungate; and one great-grandchild. Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, April 21, at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville, with burial in Jones Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. Clarence Bertram officiated.
