She united in marriage to Mr. Milton Tungate, February 19, 1903. He preceded her in death July 14, 1949. To this union four sons and six daughters were born.
Mr. Albert Tungate preceded his mother in death October 18, 1974.
Surviving are Mrs. Janie Scott, Mrs. Mandy Harden, Mrs. Oleen Gaddis, Mrs. Elmer Hickerson, all of Campbellsville, Mrs. Elsie Rae Whitley of Campbellsville, Route 6, Mrs. May Farmer, Mr. Perry Tungate, and Mr. Jesse Tungate, all of Elkhorn, Route 1, Mr. Onie Tungate of Marseilles, Illinois; twenty-six grandchildren; eighty-one great-grandchildren; and eighteen great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister and one brother: Mr. Cleveland Herron of Campbellsville, Mrs. Daisy Cox of Mannsville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. Rodford McDonald and Rev. Lowell Lay. Burial was in Jones Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Cleveland Minor, Edmond Gabehart, Clarence Gaddis, Wallace Cox, Huston Cox, and Lilburn Johnson.
