Mr. Albert Tungate, 64, a retired farmer of Elkhorn, Route 1, son of Mrs. Elnora Herron Tungate and the late Mr. Milton Tungate, was born October 16, 1910. He died at 8:00 a.m., Friday, October 18, at the Taylor County Hospital. He had been a patient there for the past six weeks. He was of the Methodist faith.

He united in marriage to Miss Nettie Noel October 16, 1932. To this union two daughters and one son were born. Besides his wife, Mrs. Nettie Tungate of Elkhorn, Route 1, surviving are: Mrs. Jean Horn of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mrs. Shirley Estopare of Seneca, Illinois, and Mr. Randall Tungate of Columbus, Indiana. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Elnora Herron Tungate of Elkhorn, Route 1; three brothers and six sisters: Mrs. Ed Hickerson, Mrs. Irvin Gaddis, Mrs. Janie Scott, and Mrs. Albert Harden, all of Campbellsville, Mrs. Lewis Whitley of Campbellsville, Route 6, Mr. Jessie Tungate, Mr. Perry Tungate and Mrs. May Farmer, all of Elkhorn, Route 1, Mr. Onie Tungate of Marseilles, Illinois; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Dr. Rodford McDonald and Rev. Lowell Lay. Burial was in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers: Everett Malone, Kile Malone, Huston Cox, Oval Marple, Edmond Gabehart, and Carl Gabehart.
