Mrs. Lillian Helen (Frick) Cathcart, wife of A.J. Cathcart of Kittanning R.D. 3, died at 10:10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 1953, in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Nulen Shaffer, Kittanning R.D. 3, Mrs. Cathcart suffered a stroke, which caused her hospitalization for some time prior to her death. She was aged 72 years, having been born March 7, 1881 in Montgomeryville, a daughter of Chambers and Nancy (Flenner) Frick. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Robert J. Toy of West Kittanning, Charles R. Toy of Cleveland, Ohio, and Chambers J. Toy of Erie; two daughters, Mrs. Nulen Shaffer, in whose home she died and Mrs. Dale Long of Kittanning R.D. 3; a step-son, P.J. Ackard of Wheeling, W. Va.; ten grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers and three sisters, James M. Frick and Chambers F. Frick, both of Adrian; Rufus S. Frick, Kittanning; Mrs. Mary Lasher, Adrian, Mrs. Adda Montgomery, Brackenridge and Mrs. Charles Thompson, West Kittanning. For the last ten years Mrs. Cathcart was a member of Salam Baptist Church. Prior to that she was a long-time member of the Kittanning First Baptist Church. Friends will be received in the Bauer funeral home, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in charge of her pastor, Rev. F. Dudley Bahrenburg.
