An infection that followed a foot injury resulted in the death in Thermalito Sunday of Henry Ank, 62, of Mooretown. Ank accidentally stubbed his foot against a chair when arising last March and a blister formed on one toe. The injury gradually became worse until gangrene set in.

Funeral services were held in the Mooretown cemetery at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon under the direction of the Thomas Funeral Home.
Ank is survived by his widow, Olive; two sons, Lowell and Benjamin Ank of Mooretown; six daughters, Mrs. Rosella Joegar and Mrs. Rubenia Hugi, both of Auburn, and Norabelle, Iama, Mildred and Venie Ank, all of Mooretown; a twin brother, Harry Ank of Mooretown, three other brothers, Frank, John and Jake Ank, all of Mooretown, and two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Fields of Sacramento, and Mrs. Mary Daugherty of Live Oak.
