JOHN H. HURDLE
Mr. John H. Hurdle, an old and respected citizen of Marshall county, died at his home at Slayden, Thursday, March 25th after a long illness. He was an uncle of our fellow townsman, Mr. W. H. Hurdle.

Holly Springs, Miss.-----Rev. John H. Hurdle, died at his home near Slayden, at a ripe old age Thursday and was buried Friday in the Alexandria cemetery. The services were conducted by the Rev. J. P. Horton and the Rev .H. B. Russom. Mr. Hurdle was a Confederate veteran, a faithful minister of the gospel and a good citizen. He is survived by four sons, Will and Cooper Hurdle, of Mt. Pleasant; Jesse Hurdle, of Slayden, and Gideon Hurdle, of Taylors, and three daughters. Miss Lillie, who still lives at home; Mrs. Ida Boswell, of Mount Pleasant, and Mrs. Ella Curle, of Cayce
