Lemuel Hackney Stafford, age 84, died Thursday, October 27 1988 at Shearer-Richardson Nursing Home in Okolona. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 29 at Houston Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Wesley Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Buchanan officiating.

The son of the late James Marion Stafford and the late Minnie Malinda Davis, he was born in Clay County. He was a retired carpenter and a Baptist.

Survivors include four daughters, Barbara Carley of San Jose, California, Ruth Ann Keranen of Houston, Linda Miller of Vardaman and Darlene Kellum of Grenada; two sons, Eddie Dale Blansett of Houston, Texas and Frankie Stafford of Grenada; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Houston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
