Ellen Marie Jones of Gatesville died Saturday, September 22, in Temple. She was 65.
Services were held Tuesday, September 25, at Scott's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Surles and Edgar McNeely officiating. Burial was in Restand Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones was born December 4, 1924, in Brookhaven, the daughter of the late Samuel and Mattie Altum. She was reared and attended school in Coryell County.
On November 28, 1942, she married the late Johnnie B. Jones, he preceded her in death during World War II. She later married Lloyd Harold Jones, Sr., September 22, 194S. He preceded her in death July 14,1985.
She was a member of the Gateway Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Lloyd (Bo) Jones, Jr. and Steve Jones, both of Gatesville; two daughters, Sammie Diserns and Patsy Barton, both of Gatesville; four sisters, Hettie Cockrell, Ruby Paul, Opal Diserns, and Ruth Delord, all of Gatesville; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family has designated the Gateway Baptist Church Youth Fund for memorials.
