Daughter of Stephen Hutchinson WATTERS and Mary Elizabeth VARNER. Wife of Dayton Ohio BOLLINGER.

Obituary:
Mrs. Eliza Bollinger of 128 West Water Streeet, Mount Union, passed away at her home on Friday afternoon, January 23, 1959, at 4:15 o'clock. She had been in failing health since last Easter, but took suddenly ill early Friday morning and her condition grew worse until death ensued. She was born Nov. 8, 1876, in Tell Township near Salem and was a daughter of Stephen H. Watters and Elizabeth (Varner) Watters. She was united in marriage on Nov. 5, 1898 to Dayton O. Bollinger of Blacklog Valley. Her husband preceded her in death in 1938. The couple established their first home in Orbisonia and then moved to a farm near Shade Gap where they resided for twenty-five years. They came to Mount Union to reside in 1936. She was a member of teh First Presbyterian Church of Mount Union and of the C.B. Ewing Sunday School Class. Surviving are three sons: Lester L. Bollinger of Orbisonia and Raymond G. Bollinger and Moreland Bollinger, both of Mount Union. Also surviving are six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two sisters and one brother: Mrs. Jennie Phillips and Mrs. Mary Ellen Parsons, both of Mount Union and Isaac Watters of Orbisonia. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home of her son, Moreland Bollinger, 105 West Maxwell Street, Mount Union, with the Rev. Samuel J. Tackaberry of Altoona officiating. Interment will be made in the Orbisonia cemetery. Friends may call at the home of Moreland Bollinger from noon on Sunday until the hour of services.
