NEW BETHLEHEM —, Mrs. Blanche Wiant, 54, of Moon Township, formerly of New Bethlehem, died Saturday at Sewickley Hospital in Sewickley. She was born at Curllsville the daughter of James and Jennie Hartman Shook. She married Max Wiant, also a former New Bethlehem resident, who survives. Mrs. Wiant is survived by two children, Mrs. Inez Howe of New Alexandria and Dr. Kenneth Wiant of Ft. Defiance, Ariz. Two sisters and three brothers also survive. They are: Mrs. Bessie Howard of North East, Sara Harriger of Curllsville, Hay and Milford Shook, both of Curllsville, and Charles Shook of Mansfield, Ohio. Four grandchildren also survive. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today at the John R. Mateer Funeral Home in New Bethlehem Services will be held at 11 am Tuesday al the funeral home with Rev. Charles Shook officiating. Interment will be in the Squirrel Hill Cemetery. The Derrick, Oil City, PA.
