Kenneth Edgar Shook, 58, of Sligo RD 1, a retired dairy farmer, died at 12:30 am Sunday in Brookville Hospital.

He was born February 1, 1916, in Monroe Township, Clarion County, a son of James E. Shook and the late Jennie Hartman Shook.

He attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Clarion.

Mr. Shook owned and operated a dairy farm until he retired in 1966 due to ill health.

He was a member of Murphy Grange.

On January 29, 1941, he married the former Gertrude Griffith. She survives along with one son, George Shook of Middleton, Wis., one daughter, Sylvia Parrott of Great Valley, N.Y.; three sisters, Mrs. Jessie (Bessie) Howard of North East, Mrs. Rudell (Sarah) Harriger of Sligo RD and Mrs. Max (Blanch) Wiant of Coraopolis; four brothers, Ray, Dale and Milford Shook, all of Sligo RD, and Charles Shook of Mansfield, Ohio, and his father, James Shook of Sligo RD.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Ernest and one sister, Floy.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today at the Hawk Funeral Home, Sligo.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday in the funeral home with Rev. Homer Henkel, pastor of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Clarion, officiating.

Interment will be in the Churchville Cemetery.
