SLIGO - Dale Evans Shook, 69, of Sligo RD1, died at 6:06 pm Wednesday at Clarion Hospital. Born September 21, 1905, in Monroe Township, he was the son of James H. Shook and the late Jennie Hartman Shook. He was married June 29, 1929, to Ina Maude Miller, who survives him. Mr. Shook was a member of the Licking Presbyterian Church and the I.O.O.F. Lodge 387 in Sligo. Survivors, in addition to his wife and his father, include three daughters, Mrs. Ardell (Alda Jane) Larch of Rimersburg, and Mrs. Roy (Mary) Hile and Mrs. Jerome (Ina) Summerville, both of Sligo; three sisters, Mrs. Jessie (Bessie) Howard of North East, Mrs. Rudell (Sarah) Harriger of Sligo, Mrs. Max (Blanch) Wiant of Coraopolis; three brothers, Ray Shook of Curllsville, Milford Shook of Sligo and Charles Shook of Mansfield, Ohio. He is also survived by seven grandchildren. Three brothers, John, Ernest and Kenneth, and one sister, Floy are deceased. Friends may call at the C.A. Hawk Funeral Home from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm today. Services will be held at 2 pm Saturday at the funeral home, with Rev. Edward McKee, Rev. Elwin Shearer and Rev. Dale Reitz officiating. Burial will follow in the Churchville Cemetery.
