"Robert Charles Newson, 77, 1130 West 3rd North, died Oct. 20 in a Bountiful hospital of natural causes.

Born Dec. 4 1891, in Salt Lake City to Charles and Annie Smith Newson. Married Margaret McKean March 5, 1913, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Salt Lake City Water Works employee 25 years; recently stage manager for Valley Music Hall.

Survivors: widow; sons, daughters, Howard, Murray; Theodore M., Studio City, Calif.; Mrs. Lewis E. (Marjorie) Whetman, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Edna Eggett, Woods Cross; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, sisters, Sidney, Van Nuys, Calif.; Avery B., Clarence W., Mrs. Ruth Lloyd, all Salt Lake City; Mrs. Susan Huggard, Taylorsville.

Funeral Thursday noon, 255-2nd East, where friends call Wednesday 6-8 p.m., Thurday hour prior to services. Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery."

Siblings who preceded him in death: Frederick M., Louis S., Charles E., and Daisy L. Newson; and Alice Newson Knox.
