Born April 7, 1891, Salt Lake City, to Theodore and Sophe Jane Lane McKean Jr. Married Robert C. Newson, March 5, 1913, Salt Lake Temple. He died Oct. 20, 1969. Former member Salt Lake Stake Relief Society Board; former County chairwoman, Salt Lake County Republican Party.
Survivors: sons, daughters: Theodore McKean, Mrs. Lewis E. (Marjorie) Whetman, both Salt Lake City; Mrs. Edna Eggett, Woods Cross; Howard M., Washington D.C.; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, sister:, Frank L., Mrs. James R. (Edna) Dickson, Mrs. Earl (Mary) Pitts, all of Salt Lake City; Gen. William B., Gainsville, FL; David B., Charles B., both of San Francisco; Mrs. Ted (Amy) Burnett, Washington D.C.
Funeral Wednesday noon, Bountiful Union Mortuary, where friends call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday before services. Burial Salt Lake City Cemetery."
