"Funeral services for Sidney G. Newson of Panorama City will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Praiswater Funeral Home, 5849 Van Nuys Blvd., Van Nuys.

Mr. Newson, a resident of the Valley for more than 20 years, died Wednesday at the age of 83. He was a native of Salt Lake City and was a former apartment house manager. He was a member of United Commercial Travelers.

Survivors include his widow, Irene; children, Ralph, Beatrice, and Paull; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother Clarence Newson of Salt Lake City, and sisters Susie Huggard of Murray, Utah and Ruth Lloyd of Salt Lake City.

Interment will be Oakwood Memorial Park, 22601 Lassen St., Chatworth."


Son of Charles Newson and Susan "Annie" Smith Newson. Married Irene Bjorklund June 7, 1916.

Brothers: Robert Charles, Avery Bradlaugh, Frederick Manasseh, Charles Ellis, Louis Smith, and Clarence William Newson. Sisters: Alice Louise Newson Knox, Daisy Leone Newson, Susan Annie Newson Huggard, and Ruth Marie Newson Lloyd.
