The last surviving member of his generation, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Rudolph, Herman, Otto and Ernest Armbruster, all of Springfield; four sisters, Miss Rose T. and Miss Emma Armbruster, Mrs. Lena Anderson and one son, Read Armbruster.
Mr. Armbruster is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ressa Read Armbruster, many nieces and nephews, including Walter C. Armbruster, president of Armbruster Manufacturing Co. and Donald Armbruster of Illinois Bell Telephone Co.
