Decedent had lived all his life in Springfield, starting in the jewelry business when a young man. He retired in 1926 and a brother took over the business.
Mr. Armbruster was listening to election returns with members of the family at his home, when he complained of feeling ill. He retired to his room and died at 10 o'clock.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth; four brothers, H.R. and Ernest F. of this city; Charles of Cincinnati, Ohio and J.W. of Los Angeles, Cal.; two sisters, Emma of Denver and Rose, who recently returned from Japan.
