Mr. Armbruster was a retired jeweler and had formerly operated a jewelry store in the 200 block, South 6th street. He had resided in Galesburg for the last 10 years where he had been in the jewelry business. He was the owner of a large collection of American and foreign made clocks.
Surviving are his wife, Jane; three sons, Ross, Alton; Donald, Ottowa, and Alfred, Guam; two brothers, H.R., city, and J.W., Los Angeles, Calif.; one sister, Rose, Los Angeles, Calif., and several grandchildren. The remains will be brought to Springfield today and graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. at Oak Ridge cemetery.
