Adam Helton, 76, of Route 1, Church Hill, died at 1:45 a.m. Sunday at Indian Path Hospital following a brief illness. Helton was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County, and was a retired employee of Mead Corporation with 32 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Helton;
four daughters,
Mrs. Clinton (Emma Belle} Armstrong,
Mrs. A.V. (Helen) Christian, both of Church Hill,
Miss Louise Helton. and
Mrs. Ben (Cotton) Hunter, both of Kingsport; two sons Jimmy Helton, Church Hill, and
Eugene Helton, Fall Branch;
one sister. Mrs. Lizzie Burton, Mt. Carmel;
two brothers, Sneed Helton, Mt. Carmel, and John Helton, Church Hill; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Wilson Funeral Home is in charge.
