Clara Hanneman was born June 28, 1896 in LeRoy Township. She married Glen Downs there on July 9, 1919. she lived most of her life in LeRoy Township except from 1920-32 when they lived in Molt, Mont. They moved to Madison in 1981 and she was a resident of Bethel Home since 1984. She was a member of her church, UMW and LeRoy Ladies Club. Her husband died in 1986.
Survivors include two sons, Melvin and Arthur, both of Madison; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, Edwin Hanneman of Madison; and two sisters, Gertrude and Minnie Hoffman, both of Madison.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Roy in 1973; a sister; and a brother in infancy.
The Weiland Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
