Funeral services will by Saturday for Esther C. Schuld, 87, Madison, who died Wednesday at Bethel Lutheran Nursing Home. The Rev. James Christopherson will officiate at the 2 p.m. services in Trinity Lutheran Church, and burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Esther Hanneman was born Feb. 16, 1898, at Madison. She married Otto Schuld at Madison Feb. 5, 1920. They farmed near Madison for many years, and she cooked at Beadle High School for over 20 years. She was a member of the LeRoy Ladies Club and a Trinity Lutheran Church circle.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Burt (Helen) Hotchkiss of Sylmar, Calif., and Mrs. Wayne (Marian) Popejoy of Ft. Worth, Texas; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Glen (Clara) Downs, Mrs. Armin (Minnie) Hoffman, and Mrs. Walter (Gertrude) Hoffman, all of Madison; and a brother, Edwin Hanneman of Madison.

She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Adena Hanneman; a daughter, Ella Mae in 1933; a son, Robert in 1960?; and her husband in 1963.

The Weiland Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
