Funeral services were Feb. 24 (today) for Minnie D. Hoffman, 97, Madison, who died Feb. 21, 1997, at Madison Community Hospital. The Rev. Gerald Christopherson officiated in Trinity Lutheran Church, and burial was in Graceland Cemetery.

Minnie Hanneman was born March 28, 1899, near Madison. She attended the rural Crow School in Lake County. She married Armin Hoffman on Dec. 31, 1924, at her parents' home. They movedto the Hoffman farm where they lived for 35 years until moving to Madison in 1961. She was a charter member the LeRoy ladies Extension Club; was active in 4-H as a parent and leader; and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was in women's circles and taught Sunday School. Her husband preceded her in death in 1995.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Darlene) Walker of Asheville, N.C., Mrs. Orv (Ardis) Jordahl of Fairplay, Colo., and Mrs. Hal (Ora) Moulton of Arvada, Colo.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Edwin Hanneman of Madison.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, August and Adena (Budde) Hanneman; and three sisters, Clara Downs, Esther Schuld and Gertrude Hoffman.

Casketbearers were Conrad and Craig Hoffman, Roy Lindsay, Allan Walker, Harold Moulton II, and Stuart Moulton. Honorary casketbearers were Milt Digre, Art Downs, John Gross, Art, Hans and Smokey Mauf. Organist was Collen Tucker, and soloist was Dale Walker. Lunch was served at the church following the comittal service.

The Ellsworth Funeral Home supervised arrangements.
